Our Philosophy

Total football or possession football is enshrined in the philosophy of Final Whistle Sporting Club. The aim is to win football matches with finesse and panache whilst retaining a winning mentality. It is an ethos that is followed diligently by every single player and member of staff.

The ultimate aim is for all teams at the Club to win football matches through attacking football whilst always giving a 100% effort and determination. Players are trained to possess the ball and play out from the back through the thirds. Players are encouraged to play in various positions, as part of each individual’s development training. Players are also encouraged to be creative and use their discretion on the pitch while demonstrating all the principles of fair play and respect.

Players are encouraged to play for the team first not themselves by working in a harmonious environment with translate to helping each other on the pitch. The team’s major tactical drills is focused on passing, possession, pressing, penetration and positioning.

Players are required to listen to and respect coaches at all times whilst coaches also aim to promote an environment which allows players to enjoy the game, develop individual skill and technique
